What are MMA gloves and what are they used for?

Mixed martial arts gloves are a basic piece of equipment (in fact, without them you will not be allowed into the ring or onto the mat) and at the same time a key piece of protective gear.

Unlike boxing gloves, they have open fingers, which allows gripping, submissions and ground work, along with slightly less cushioning that still allows you to throw strikes effectively. Of course, they are versatile, which makes them equally effective in stand-up and directly on the mat.

What kinds of gloves are available in our range?

• Gloves Advanced, a solid choice for fighters who are just stepping onto the mat or looking for reliable gloves for everyday training. They have an ergonomic cut, provide good cushioning and, of course, an open-finger design, giving you freedom both during grappling and when throwing strikes.
• Gloves Ultra, mixed martial arts gloves in a premium version. We designed them with more demanding athletes in mind. Their standout features include advanced multi-layer foam that effectively absorbs impact energy and a precise fit to the anatomy of the hand. All of this translates into comfort during long and intense training sessions / sparring.

How do you choose the right MMA gloves?

Start by determining their intended use. A quick tip: for technical training and grappling, lighter models with less foam will be enough. For regular sparring, however, we definitely recommend gloves with thicker cushioning and more solid wrist protection.

Choosing the right size is very simple. In our range, we offer two options: MMA gloves in sizes S/M and L/XL. Details can be found on the individual product pages. Remember to take hand wraps into account when choosing your size, as they slightly increase the volume of the hand.
